The Ben Brenman Park located at 4800 Brenman Park Drive in Alexandria, Virginia offers over 53 acres of amenities including:
- ADA accessible picnic benches and pathways
- athletic fields
- ample parking
- picnic pavilion with grill
- restrooms (note: no changing tables or drinking fountains!)
- walking/bicycle trails
Named after Colonel Ben Brenman, the park is located on the east end of the former U.S. Army base at Cameron Station. Colonel Brenman contributed many years to the Alexandria community (over 30 years!) and the projects he was involved with are many, including working on the acquisition of the park.
The enclosed playground is designed for younger children, and offers slides, swings and a mini rock climbing wall. Near the Scenic Easement, you will find a second fenced in playground that offers a space for the older children. Bring your dogs and cross the footbridge over Holmes Run River near Deer Run Court and let them play off-leash in the fenced dog run, though be sure to bring your own water.
Ben Brenman Park offers a koi pond with beautiful fountains and many pedestrian bridges. The Cambodian Festival happens here annually and on Sundays from May through November, the West End Farmer's Market takes up residence at the south end of the park.
